Broadband & Fixed line Networks Infrastructure
For design, build and installations of Broadband & Fixed line network infrastructures, contact us at Miketel Data Networks. For many years, we have successfully designed, built, and installed fixed line networks for most of the leading service providers in the UK and beyond. We have developed a strong reputation for providing high-quality network infrastructures, to enable businesses to efficiently provide their services. Our fixed network solutions are also incredibly cost-effective, giving more customers the chance to upgrade their systems. In recent years especially, technology has come leaps and bounds from its early days of simple systems and infrastructures. But with the emergence of new challenges, and with its new technologies, we’ve had the experience of designing and building bespoke fixed network infrastructures to help ease the complexities of your business network.

Also, we deploy network equipment that uses DWDM technology e.g., Ciena 6500, to build optical transport networks (OTN) that will carry up to 100Gig of data for our customers, corporate business, and service providers who need network expansions for higher data capacities.

Dense wavelength-division multiplexing (DWDM) is an optical fibre multiplexing technology that is used to increase the bandwidth of existing fibre networks. It combines data signals from different sources over a single pair of optical fibre, while maintaining complete separation of the data streams.

We take pride in delivering telecom projects and contracts in a world that is connected via software and digitization, and to meet the ever growing demand for network expansion for mobile network operators with our services where there is value for money.

Get 10Gbps ultrafast broadband via our FTTP services
At Miketel Data Networks, we’re also proud to offer FTTP broadband services for an ultrafast broadband speed of up to 10Gbps for your business. For us to determine the type of fibres and connectors necessary for your location, we offer free site surveys and any recommendations that we do make are based on factors such as data speed, costs, and other requirements. FTTP broadband is highly efficient in data transfer, as the fibre cables suffer from less signal degradation. Most importantly, they can transmit data at speeds much higher than standard once. So, if your business currently handles large amounts of data, such as multimedia content or financial transactions, upgrading your core network will dramatically improve the efficiency and performance of your daily operations. You’ll require much less additional equipment and maintenance, so you won’t have to frequently worry about your system malfunctioning.
We will improve your Internet Broadband and Wi-Fi Connectivity Issues
At Miketal Data Networks, we also provide business grade connectivity solutions to ensure that your Wi-Fi and broadband is secure, reliable and robust. With our experience and expertise, you can always rely on our services to help improve the capabilities of your business. We provide high-quality support for all of our customers, to ensure that there is minimal disruptions or downtime to their broadbands. As everything becomes more and more digitised, businesses are also becoming increasingly reliant on their connectivity. So it's critical that customers have a strong relationship with a telecommunications company, who can bespoke solutions for any given business. So at Miketel Data Networks, we can design, install and provide solutions that will boost your internet speed, and give you powerful wireless network access in and around your premises.
Structured Data Cabling
At Miketal Data Networks, we’re a team of experienced, specialised engineers that can provide data cable installations for a range of different businesses and industries. Structured data cabling can last an incredible amount of time, which is why it’s important to invest in high-quality cables that will efficiently transmit data across your network. As IT and technology continues to evolve, it’s essential that your tools and equipment reflect this. So with data cables that have been designed and installed with flexibility and growth in mind, you can take your business to new horizons. Data cables are necessary for a wide range of reasons, some of which include PCs/Servers, BMS systems/Access Control and much more. So regardless of the size of your business, we can provide you with bespoke data cabling solutions.
CAT5 and CAT6 Copper Ethernet Network Cables
CAT5 cables are the most widely used of the twisted pair ethernet cables and consist of four twisted pair of copper wires. CAT5, which is the fifth generation of twisted pair technology can achieve fast speeds of up to 100Mbps (megabit per second). IEEE standard recommends that CAT5 cabling should be a length of 100metres maximum.
CAT6 is the sixth generation of twisted pair ethernet cabling which consist of four pairs of copper wires just as the CAT5 category. However, CAT6 uses all four pairs of copper wiring with achievable speeds of up to 1Gbps (gigabit per second).
The CAT6e cables also offer a maximum transmission speed of 10Gbps at a distance of 100metres (maximum distance recommended by IEEE is 100metres). CAT6e has enhanced maximum transmission speeds, frequency, and bandwidth, and is an excellent choice for a home, office, and data centres ethernet cabling. The CAT6e has a spline that runs through its entire length.
CAT7 Copper Ethernet Network Cables
CAT7 cable, whilst being the more expensive option, is also considered the most durable for homes, offices, and data centres. It has a longer lifespan than CAT5 and CAT6, improving its overall return on investment, and is the best choice for supporting gigabit ethernet cabling with the future in mind.
CAT8 Copper Ethernet Network Cables
The CAT8 cable or category 8 network cable is an ethernet cable rated for high-speed data capacity. It is perfect for small business with data speeds of 25 Gbps (Cat8.1) to 40 Gbps (Cat8.2) and has a frequency rating of 2GHz. The CAT8 cable can achieve an eye watering 2 billion signals (transfers) per second. This high-speed data requires all CAT8 cables with length up to 30metres using a 2-connector channel to have a high density shield around the cable. This difference in quality means that, CAT8 is rated for data transfers of 250 to 400 times faster than CAT7. It's also interesting to know that CAT8 cables are also backward.
