Miketel Data Networks was established in 2011 with the ambition to design and build high quality telecom network infrastructural services to all telecom sectors across the UK and beyond.
Miketel Data Networks is focused in the design, build, install, and maintenance of telecom infrastructure for our core clients who operate fixed-line, mobile, and utility/private network services. We bring commitment, innovation, teamwork, and accountability by working collaboratively with our clients to deliver long-term partnerships. We also engage adequately with our clients and customers to identify and understand their business objectives so we can develop procedures, systems, collaborate in strategic design and planning, and help improve operational utilization and efficiency for our stakeholders.
We are determined to provide a complete business-to-business and business-to-customer services, delivering to fixed/mobile network operators and other corporate organisations; a service that covers all aspects of a network life span.
Miketel Data Networks is committed to our goal of undertaking telecom contracts/projects from clients and deliver to the terms and conditions of the contracts with excellent professionalism. We are currently collaborating with other licensed operators (OLO) to roll out large scale of NGA (next access generation) technology into at least three million homes across a large part of the UK. We are also delivering a 10giga-bit superfast fibre broadband via a blend of fibre technology (FTTC/FTTP/FTTH) to residential sectors, SME's, corporate businesses, and Government organisations across our network infrastructure in the UK.
We also provide telecom consultancy advice to clients and undertake telecom contracts and projects with the intent to complete them with professionalism. Having been in the industry for many years, we’ve developed an extensive partnership with third-party organisations, all of which help us to provide exceptional services to our most cherished customers.

Case Study 1: Fibre Network Expansion for an Alternative Network (AltNet)
Client: A regional Alternative Network provider (AltNet) rolling out FTTP in the Northwest.
Challenge: Client had won a contract to connect 3,000 premises but lacked sufficient in-house, accredited field engineers to meet the aggressive build deadline.
Solution: Miketel Data Networks provided a team of two Openreach-accredited engineers for a 4-month period. We managed the full "last mile" deployment from the fibre cabinet (PCP) to the premises, including: Underground duct & pole route surveys; Fibre blowing, splicing, and termination; ONT installation and live service testing.
Result: Delivered 1,250 premises ahead of schedule, with a first-time-right installation rate of 98.5%. Our involvement enabled the client to avoid contract penalties and secure the next phase of their rollout.
Case Study 2: Business Voice System Migration for a Multi-Site Retailer
Client: A national retail chain with 15 high-street locations.
Challenge: The client faced the 2025 ISDN switch-off with an ageing, incompatible phone system. They needed a seamless, coordinated migration to a new cloud-based VoIP system with minimal store downtime.
Solution: Acted as the lead telecoms engineering consultant and project coordinator. We; Conducted site surveys to assess cabling and connectivity at each location; Managed the staged rollout of new SD-WAN hardware and VoIP handsets; Provided remote and on-site cutover support on key transition weekends.
Result: Successfully migrated all 15 sites over two weekends with zero disruption to trading hours. The project completed 12% under budget due to efficient planning, and post-migration fault calls reduced by 60%.
Case Study 3: Critical Fault Resolution for a Major System Integrator
Client: A national telecoms system integrator serving enterprise clients.
Challenge: A high-profile financial services client was experiencing persistent, intermittent data circuit failures. The issue had been escalated multiple times but remained unresolved for 72 hours, threatening service level agreements.
Solution: Miketel was engaged as a specialist third-line resource. We performed advanced diagnostics on the client's leased line and CPE, isolating the fault to a faulty Network Interface Device (NID) at the exchange boundary and a configuration issue in the onsite router.
Result: Identified and resolved the complex, multi-point fault within 4 hours of engagement. Our detailed fault report enabled the integrator to recoup costs from the underlying carrier and provided the end-client with a permanent solution, safeguarding the SLA.
